The Department of Psychology at the University of New England ( invites applications for a tenure-track position in clinical or counseling psychology, beginning August 2018. Join an enthusiastic department of 13 faculty members enrolling over 260 undergraduate students in three majors: Psychology, Animal Behavior, and Neuroscience.

Candidates for the position should provide evidence of excellence in teaching and the potential for an active independent scholarship program. Completion of a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field with significant clinical overlap, is required. Candidates must have the ability to teach courses from among abnormal psychology, mental health and society, community psychology, theories of clinical/counseling psychology, listening and communication skills, children and stress, introduction to art therapy, human learning, and/or personality theory. The candidate must alse have the ability to teach introductory psychology, lifespan developmental psychology, and other courses in their area of specialization. The successful candidate will have the ability to launch an active scholarship program that engages undergraduate students and results in peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals with undergraduate co-authors.
